Report – 80th Urs of Hazrath Syed Hasan Moulana Baghdadi Qadri (RA)

The 80th Annual Urs Fatiha of Hazrath Syed Hasan Moulana Baghdadi Qadri (RA) was held on Thursday, 17 September 2026, at the Dargah Shareef, 235, Linghi Chetty Street, Chennai.

The programme began with Zikr and Salam, followed by the traditional Sandal ritual at the maqaam of Hazrath Hasan Moulana Baghdadi (RA). Devotees gathered at the Dargah to offer Fatiha and take part in the various prayers and recitations.

The programme continued throughout the night with the recitation of Qasaaid and devotional poetry. Devotees and well-wishers remained at the Dargah through the night, participating in the recitations and prayers.

The gathering concluded with a prayer for peace and the well-being of all, shortly before the Azaan of Fajr.

The Urs was led by the Sajjada Nashin, Prof. H.M. Tahir Bijli. Scholars, academicians, Sufis, devotees and well-wishers attended the Urs and offered their respects at the mausoleum.

The 80th Urs was observed in keeping with the traditions of the Dargah, bringing together devotees for a night of Zikr, Fatiha, devotional recitation and remembrance of Hazrath Syed Hasan Moulana Baghdadi Qadri (RA).
