THE HINDU - DOWNTOWN reported the 79th Annual Urs held on 28-09-2025 at Dargah-e-Hazrath Syed Hasan Moulana Baghdadi (RA), Chennai.

As-Salamu Alaikum! 

Alhamdulillah — continuing the noble tradition, the Maulood recitations were held in honour of the blessed month of Rabi‘ al-Akhir, the Urs month of Sayyiduna Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani (رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ).

The spiritual gatherings took place nightly from the 1st to the 11th of Rabi‘ al-Akhir, between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM, at the Dargah Shareef of Hazrath Syed Hasan Moulana Baghdadi Qadiri (رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ).

The gatherings were organised and led by the Sajjada Nashin, Prof. Habib Mohamed Tahir Bijli, and attended by numerous devotees and disciples who participated with heartfelt Naat, Manqabat, and Salaam recitations throughout these blessed nights.

May Allah Almighty accept these gatherings of Zikr (remembrance), fill our hearts with His love, and forgive our shortcomings.

79th Annual Urs of Hazrath Syed HASAN MOULANA BAGHDADI held

79th Urs of Qutubul Akhtaab Hazrath Syed Hasan Moulana Baghdadi (RA) held in Chennai. 

Alhamdulillah, the 79th annual Urs of Hazrath Syed Hasan Moulana Baghdadi Qadiri (RA) was observed on 28-09-2025 at the blessed Dargah in Mannady, Chennai. 

The gathering began with Zikr and Salaam, followed by the traditional sandal paste offering at the Mazaar Sharif. The night was filled with soulful recitations of Hamd, Naat, and Manqabat, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

The Urs was led by Sajjada Nashin Prof. Habib Mohamed Tahir Bijli and attended by many disciples and devotees from across the region.

May Allah سبحانه وتعالى accept the du’as of all who participated and grant His blessings through the wasilah of His beloved saints. Aameen 🤲
